Personal: Should I Leave LinkedIn?

Got spam from it before. Yeah it's annoying.
The funny thing is that I don't even know why I need linkedin - my friend talked me into it, but over the course of 4 years I got absolutely nothing out of it. Except spam.
I don't think it will do any good. The way I read it was "Pay us and we will work on showing your curriculum to more people; don't pay and nothing changes".
The idea is a professional network, unlike Facebook, Orkut, etc. It is a more targeted audience and there it is not news that there are recruiters looking for good resources and that we are exposing ourselves to them.
It is just what LinkedIn will give you back that will be changing.
I don't work for them, though, so this is my guess and reading from their email (which I also received).
You can turn off the "InMail" feature if you don't want any recruiters contacting you. Go here and choose "Introductions only":
